Admission MBA Program
In general, applicants to SBM ITB postgraduate program must have the following:
- University graduates with accredited or equalized/recognized study programs.
- University’s accreditaton of applicant is preferred minimum B to be accepted into the intended program.
- Academic levels that can register/participate in the selection are Diploma IV (Applied Bachelor) or Bachelor level graduates.
1. Written Application
An eligible applicant for admission to MBA ITB you must provide a minimum TPA Bappenas score of 475 (not required for foreign candidates) and ELPT ITB score of 90.
Please prepare a compilation of relevant materials to showcase your qualifications. All materials must be submitted to www.usm.itb.ac.id/oreg by the application deadline. The relevant documents may include (but not limited to) the followings:
We require uploaded transcripts from all undergraduate academic institutions of your previous study.
You may upload temporary or student copy of your transcript; however, we will request an official copy for verification purposes should you be admitted to ITB.
There is no minimum GPA to apply. Undergraduate academics are just one factor uses to evaluate an applicant.

How to do this test?Please fill in Admission Confirmation Form. Later, the admission will send you business case in which you are required to make a concise analysis of the case for 500 – 800 words (max. 2 pages A4), font Arial size 11. The critical analysis shall make use information and facts provided in the case which can be combined with any concept/theory that you think relevant.The analysis shall answer these questions:
- What is the problem faced by the decision maker(s) in the case?
- What is your proposed solution/decision if you were the decision maker(s)? Explain and elaborate you solution/decision.
You have maximum of 1×24 hour to submit your essay containing your analysis to the designated link/e-mail that will be delivered by the Admission and we will invite you for interview if your essay passes our academic standards*. Please note that we will also check if your essay consists of plagiarism act. *For Entrepreneurship program (Jakarta and Bandung Campus) applicants, during the essay interview you also require to present your business proposal.

Please also note that TPA and TOEFL certificates are still needed and will be collected during your study if you get accepted for this program.

Our program is designed to be completed in 18 months with classes held on weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Your degree is legitimately issued by SBM-ITB
The programme is taught by members of SBM-ITB faculty and MarkPlus, Inc. practitioners to get insight from both theoretical and practices perspectives. SMEMBA also invite guest lecture from global oriented company to enrich the class insight and experience.
SMEMBA is aimed at people who have gained some high-quality work experience, but who are at a relatively early stage in their career. It is suitable for people who want to increase their knowledge of Strategic marketing to:
- Enhance their existing career and accelerate their promotion prospects
- Change career by changing function, or industry
- Start their own business.
Most teaching takes the form of structured lectures and case studies. The style is participatory and classes frequently include case analysis and discussion. There are also projects and group work, field investigations and visits, as well as individual research and simulations.
The class will be held on Philip Kotler Theater Class at 88 Office Tower Kota Kasablanka.

The total tuition fee for a 18 months studies is IDR 160 000 000 with 4 installment.
The application fee is IDR 750.000 and it was un-refundable.
Admission Process and Requirements
SMEMBA starts its admission on September 2023 and ends at the end of December 2023.
For The Class of 2024, the admission starts at the end of September 2023.

Having at least 3 years full-time working experience is a key benchmark for the Admissions Committee to evaluate the candidates’ suitability for joining the program. The average working experience of our participants is 5 years while the average age is 32 years old. Prospective candidate who have less than 3 years’ experience are encourages to send their resumes for a preliminary review before proceeding with the application.
Full-time employment is a prerequisite for being admitted to the program. The program is designed in a way that participants are encouraged to apply what they have learnt in class at the workplace and then share their insight with fellow participants. There is no particular preference. We welcome applications from arts, languages and philosophy graduates as well as those from the pure sciences, engineering, maths, and the social sciences, including business and economics.
An interview is required for every participant. After we review the completed application, we will be sending invitation to applicant email for a group case-based interview. You will be receiving a case to be analyze and discuss in the interview with other applicant and interviewer(s).
After your application is submitted to the SBM-ITB MBA program, you can expect the following timeline for updates from the admission team. Application who are invited to interview will be notified via email. The interview invitation email will include a link to schedule an interview, and resources to prepare for a case-based interview. And this process will be taking about 5 working days after the end of the application for each batch.
As for now, other English tests other than ELPT ITB is not accepted and it is mandatory.
1. Register directly when the registration form on the https://admission.itb.ac.id page is carried out in bold and only 2 date options are available for that period with a selection fee of IDR 400,000.
2. Register directly at PSDM ITB https://psdm.itb.ac.id/information-test-elpt/. However, this is implemented offline on the Ganesha campus with a variety of choices with a selection fee of IDR 200,000
Both results can be accepted during the ITB program registration process
A TPA test is a must for applying the program with minimum score of 475 unless you are a foreign applicant where GMAT score might be submitted.
There is no strict requirement on this. The letters can be from current or past supervisors, business partners, colleagues, etc.
